· L.A. Incubator member and Featured Lady RomyTaormina is co-founder of PSI Health Solutions, Inc., which offers drug-free wrist bands for the relief of nausea due to morning sickness, motion sickness, chemotherapy, and anesthesia. Romy just learned that her Psi Bands have been selected as a finalist for the Make Mine a Million $ Business award. · NYC Incubator member Jenny Hwa, designer and founder of the sustainable, organic clothing brand named Loyale , just had one of her bamboo tunic designs worn by Jessica Alba.
· NYC Incubator member Patti Green founded Ginger Kids with the goal of teaching children about other cultures through cooking. Although her products have been sold at Macy's, Neiman Marcus, and Starbucks, Patti's most gratifying accomplishment is having hundreds of kids enjoy her cooking classes. She is currently profiled on Martha Stewart's Web site in "Doers of the Week" category.
· L.A. Incubator member Stacie Krajchir, founder of The Bungalow PR , is featured in the September issue of FOAM magazine for her entrepreneurial spirit in business as well as the arts. Also, big thanks to Stacie for inviting the FOAM editorial team to the San Francisco BYOB event last weekend to get a glimpse into the entrepreneurial world of our members.
· Fairfield, CT, Incubator member Nina Sutton, author of The Chic Mom's Guide to Feeling Fabulous, was recently featured on ABC's "View From the Bay SF" , Fox 5 News in San Diego, and DayBreak OC (KDOC). She's also been featured in The Easy Reader, In Mag, OC Register, StyleMama, MyITThings, Beauty Chat Blog, and GAB Magazine. Links to all of the articles can be found here. Additionally, L'OREAL Paris is hosting a Book Launch Soiree at its Living Lab at the Beverly Center on October, 10, where Nina will be signing copies of her book. · NYC Incubator member Sahar Aker, veteran TV news health reporter, is the founder of FatFighterTV.com, the go-to site for motivated individuals interested in a healthy lifestyle. FatFighterTV is now part of the Oprah Digital Network, which means it will have exclusive news, clips, and information about upcoming shows, plus interviews with some of Oprah's regular guests.
· NYC Incubator member Judith George, founder of Reel Invitations , is highlighted on Martha Stewart's wedding blog for her tasteful and innovative interactive DVD wedding invitations. (See August 22, 2008, "Reel Invitations.")
· New Jersey Incubator member Beth Peller, a certified health and wellness coach , is quoted in Park Place magazine this month. Thanks to fellow Incubator member Liz Gamal for putting the magazine in touch with Beth.
· NYC Incubator member Lisa Finan, cross-cultural protocol consultant and founder of GetGlobalized, is featured in the August issue of NJ Life & Leisure.
· Portland, OR, Incubator member Katie Johnson, founder of Kix By Katie, is pictured with Mrs. Oregon International in various public appearances.
· Portland, OR, Incubator member Julie Duryea, owner of Souk , is featured in She-ic online magazine for running a "hipster-feminine flex/shared work space" for freelancers, consultants, and entrepreneurs.
· Sacramento, CA, Incubator member Ramona Russell, founder of Uptown Liz , was featured in the Chico News & Review. The article, "Benevolent Boutiquing," was in the publication's Green Guide and talked about the great products available on Uptown Liz that support charitable causes . Ramona was also featured in Mommies With Style. The article, "Give Back, Get a Discount and Look Smart -- All in One Purchase," talked about Uptown Liz's Nicola Gift Set, a portion of proceeds from which go straight to charity. Lastly, Ramona is highlighted in the August/September issue of San Joaquin Magazine for the loss of her sister being the inspiration behind creating an online shopping business with a charitable angle.
· Fairfield, CT, Incubator member Sharon Stenger, founder of OurHopePlace , was recently interviewed by Elizabeth Kopyscinski of Belrayam Communications in the show's segment that features Westchester and Fairfield County's most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.
