• L.A. Incubator members Kimberly Goodman and Henri Hebert, co-founders of FiveFold Productions, LLC, won two bronze Telly Awards in the categories of Social Issues and Charity/Non-Profit for their docu-short, "Real Beauty." "Real Beauty" follows at-risk teen girls from a Los Angeles charter school in the inner city, who were learning how to become filmmakers as part of the Step Up Women's Network's teen empowerment program, in collaboration with the Dove Self-Esteem Fund. The girls' films had to answer the question, "What is real beauty to you?" The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as film productions. Over 14,000 submissions are received each year.
• NYCIncubator member Kelley Taylor,founder of MakeEveryDayAHoliday.com, is quoted in OK! magazine, Issue #34 (August 25, 2008). She was featured in the article "15 Ways to Improve Your Life in 15 Minutes" for her creative way of de-cluttering fast and another tip on creating a quick and easy centerpiece. This profile opportunity was presented by fellow Incubator member Sabina Ptacin, founder and owner of Red Branch PR.
• Portland, OR, Incubator member Erica Manthe, owner of Inspired Designs and creator of Hooray For You! note tags, was interviewed via satellite on "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" on August 6 about a sales issue she was having. This media opportunity was also presented by Sabina Ptacin.
• Los Gatos, CA, Incubator member Cathe Huynh-Sison, founder and creative director of Feterie, was just featured on Cool Mom Picks for her FeterieWoohoo! card, which celebrates the joys of simple statements (i.e. Woohoo!). These cards are not only fun to pass around, but they are also eco-friendly.
• New Haven County, CT, Incubator leader Kim DeYoung is the founder of Metromom Direct Sales Association, an international online network that helps women succeed in building up a home-based business. Kim is featured in the New Haven Register for her work and it is noted that since starting the network two months ago, Kim has about 300 members already.
• L.A. Incubator member Sherry Gaba, licensed psychotherapist and life coach, was a special gueston "Dr. Drew Live" radio on August 20 to discuss "Celebrity Addiction."
• Toronto Incubator member Catherine Choi, founder of SoYoung Mother, received a great review on Savvymom.ca, a daily Canadian newsletter targeting moms, for her clever diaper bags.
• Denver Incubator member Ana Caban, a Pilates instructor who has many DVDs on the market, is featured on RealBeautyIs.com for embodying their definition of a "Real Beauty," a woman who is bold and courageous, and who inspires us to embrace our own real beauty and live on our own terms.
• Portland, OR, Incubator member Ilse Norman, volunteer for Fashionista Swap, was quoted in a recent write-up in the Columbian for her participation in a Portland Fashionista event, which facilitates the swapping of new or gently used clothing between women of similar sizes.
• West Michigan Incubator member Barbara Hranilovich, designer of the unique Beverage CADDi, was written up by Chicky Lounge in a fun and radiantly positive article about the beverage carrier system that works as a coffee cup sleeve and a coffee purse (sling).
• L.A. Incubator member Stacie Krajchir, PR expert and founder of The Bungalow PR, was published on the Huffington Post. In her blog, "How Donald Trump, the Sultan, Orlando Bloom and I Took a Quickie Trip to Dubai Without Leaving the Tarmac," Stacie points out the appeal in someone (i.e. Trump) or something (i.e. Trumps' Dubai campaign) with a vision and the desire to be extraordinary. Her blog begs the question, "Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary?"
• Portland, OR, Incubator members Katie Johnson and Cindy Aggson, founder and VP of Marketing for Kix By Katie, respectively, garnered exciting press on SheFinds for their innovative product solution to the dreaded heel wedgie.
• NYC Incubator member Robyn Hatcher, owner of Speakeasy Presentations, was quoted on WomenCo., a networking service and site for career-minded women.
