INCUBATOR MEMBERS IN THE NEWS

· Ladies Who Launch Editor-in-Chief, Amy Swift, was published on the Huffington Post, blog entitled, “The Truth About Elevators.” She highlights how crucial the 12-second elevator pitch is, yet how few people can do it in a way that makes sense to the world beyond their own. Read these three SIMPLE guidelines on forming and delivering your own pitch. In addition, Amy blogged for Yahoo's Shine site this week, “It's Not the Gym, It's the Locker Room.” Many of us can relate to her personal challenge of wanting to perfectly balance everything in our lives … but is it realistic considering the many priorities we all juggle daily?

· New York City Incubator member Ester Du Von, founder and program director of Kids Empowerment Academy , is featured in West View news, “Children Should be Heard,” profiling her recent work with children. Her academy reaches out to children who may be struggling with self-esteem and self-expression by using games, positive peer interaction, and public speaking techniques.

· Dallas Incubator member Sandra Rimmer of Unique Gift Baskets 4 U, is one of the featured business owners in Advocate magazine's "Women In Business ‘08" special edition. (Skip to page 14 to see Sandra's profile.)

· West Michigan Incubator member Barb Hranilovich's beverage CADDi was featured in the June issue of Specialty Coffee Retailer. Barb's CADDi is hailed as “One of the most ingenious new ideas in the sleeve industry...” by the national trade magazine.

· New York City Incubator member Jen Groover, founder and designer behind The Butler Bag, was featured in AM NY today giving her top ten tips to success that allowed her to take her brand to a multi-million dollar company in only two years.

· NY Incubator member Jennifer Dziura's adult spelling bee and adult geography tournament were featured in AM NY's "Bars that mix drinking and games" . Additionally, Jennifer and her spelling bee were also featured in this week's TimeOut New York piece, "Swapping spit: two stellar spellers tackle issues of the heart."

· San Francisco Incubator member Kayse Gehret, founder and creator of Soulstice Spa, Inc., and her natural bodycare and non-toxic nail polish line are featured on Wickedly Chic and Pinks and Blues.

· Atlanta Incubator member Tisha DeShields, sculptor and founder of Original Belly Works , is featured in the Entrepreneurial Women's Digest in the Start Your Dream section. Original Belly Works provide do-it-your-self plaster kits for mom's-to-be.

· New Jersey incubator member Joelle Hinds-Ware, Managing Partner at Verify-ED , a background screening and résumé verification service provider, was recently interviewed on the “Change the Life of Your Business” segment on TCB360 radio . She discussed the launch of the Val-ID-ate tool that gives job seekers a way to show proof of their qualifications to prospective employers.
